As Andrew pointed out in his article, the production of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was an exhaustive exercise in world-building. Jackson’s production team had to convincingly recreate the world of Lord of the Rings all over again after ending production on the original trilogy back in the early 2000s.

While I’m not a fan of the first Hobbit film, I can truly appreciate the amount of time, effort, and dedication put into it. You can definitely see it all on screen. Or, y’know, you could just see the proof of it in the following video diaries…
