Man, I got to tell you, horror films don’t really do it for me these days. Most feature repetitive, tired storylines that are geared toward audiences that are clearly not me.

That is why I was pleasantly (or horribly?) surprised when the short film SHHH made me squirm in my seat. The movie is available below, and after that we have a featurette that has co-directors Freddy Chávez Olmos and Shervin Shoghian talking about some of the influences behind this short, childhood, and Guillermo Del Toro. (It doesn’t surprise me that he would be involved in this somehow.)
