International hip-hop outfit ASM (A State of Mind) have recently leaked their latest single “Masking” from their concept album, “The Jade Amulet”. The attention grabber for this track was that it features a verse from one of AAGG’s favorite emcees, MF DOOM. What’s more is that DOOM’s now has a new rap moniker: King Dumile. As for the album, it’s touted as the “sonic journey of The Jade Amulet is visually accompanied by a graphic novel / comic book version of the story, and the corresponding live show takes the form of a marriage of funked-out hip hop show and traditional theatre piece. This is easily ASM’s most ambitious project to date, and certainly not one to miss.”
