One of Italy’s most storied auto brands is Lamborghini. Born out of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s desire to show fellow auto legend Enzo Ferrari how exotic cars should be built, the company has since turned into a style icon and the go to automotive choice for anyone who considers themselves a wild extrovert. Never mind the mark that cars like the Countach, Diablo, and now Aventador have left on pop culture.

But the fascinating thing about Lamborghini isn’t just it’s wild cars. Unlike Porsche or Ferrari, it’s history  isn’t steeped in racing history, but is instead linked to tractors. That’s right, equipment meant to help farmers till their fields. Along the way there were a few other offshoots, but to find out about that you can check out the video below.

It’s from Shmee150, a Youtuber of adequate means who has done reviews, car tours, and has gone on other automotive adventures worth noting. This time he went to the Lamborghini museum and got a wonderful tour from Fabio Lamborghini, the founders nephew. It’s informative and wonderfully Italian. The whole video is worth watching, but you can skip to minute 5:30 to just get to the historical Lamborghini stuff. If you are an Italian car fan, like I am, it is very well worth watching and if you are not it is a great doorway into the fascinating history of a company that many know of but few actually know about.
