I saw a film in the summer of 2006 called Pulse, a totally not scary technological horror film starring Kristen Bell. Little did I know that she had already began making her bones as the title character on the UPN/CW mystery series Veronica Mars. Then she appeared on the second season of NBC’s Heroes as the psychotic electricity-wielding evo Elle Bishop. Later, Judd Apatow tapped her (no pun intended) for a role as the title character in the 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Honestly, except for the scenes involving Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, the movie wasn’t really funny to me and garnered more praise from critics than it deserved. But on the upside, it had Ms. Bell in a role that required her to use profanity. I don’t know why, but whenever a beautiful woman (one whom I’ve never heard curse before) uses strong profanity in media, especially the word “f#*K”, it’s…hot. Which brings me to Kristen Bell’s most eye-opening adult role in Showtime’s House of Lies, in which she played a manipulative and seductive management consultant.
Folks younger than me remember Kristen Bell just for Veronica Mars. I remember her for her gamut of work in the last 15 years. Well, that and because she packs quite the talented punch. Plus, she’s wrapped up in a cute and sexy package. So, Kristen Bell, we are proud to have you as our honoree for this week’s Woman CRUSH! Wednesday! Please click the pictures for full resolution.
