Insomnia is a killer, but one that can be sedated through television viewing. That’s right, television. I wake up before the middle of the night quite often, gaining a bare minimum amount of sleep. Rather than continue to battle the demon of insomnia standing on my right shoulder, I drown it in Law & Order episodes syndicated on TNT at that time. One thing that series and all of its spin-offs have in common is attractive actresses portraying attractive assistant district attorneys. From Jill Hennessy, Carey Lowell, Angie Harmon, Elisabeth Rohm, Stephanie March, Diane Neal, Michaela McManus to even Paula Patton, none of them can hold a candle to Alana de la Garza.
I love that sexy “are you serious?” expression she did as ADA Connie Rubirosa on Law & Order.
Currently starring on CBS’ Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, she’s got quite the impressive television resume. She’s been on Smallville, Charmed, and Forever. But Law & Order is what she’s most known for. Given the grim nature of the series, it’s sometimes a surprise to see that the actors and actresses behind the characters are fun and can have a not-so-serious side. Ms. de la Garza is one such individual. She’s a smart & talented teacher-turned-actress of Irish and Mexican descent. Her facial expression above is one of things I look forward to when watching those L&O reruns. Plus, she scores extra points with me for being in Maxim magazine and attending San Diego Comic-Con.
We’ve made Ms. de la Garza our honoree for this week’s “Woman Crush Wednesday”. Please click the pictures for full resolution.
