My first introduction to this beautiful actress was her breakthrough role on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Daisy “Quake” Johnson aka “Skye”. She’s been part of the main cast since its inception and it’s the role she’s most known for. What she’s also known for is her willingness to speak out against Hollywood’s racist practices.
Born Chloe Wang to a Chinese father and a White American mother, she was forced to adopt her father’s first name as her professional surname in order to break into the industry. It worked and proved her right in the process.
