Every once in a while a game comes around that promises to completely change what we think is possible in a genre. For instance, TITANFALL changed the game in regards of what your standard first-person shooter is capable of with full-on massive robots being on the battlefield. Then, NO MAN’S SKY redefined what a first-person shooter is further, giving you a whole universe to explore with different planets and lifeforms to go along with it. While CYBERPUNK 2077 doesn’t promise to completely upend the genre it does bring along what may be one of the most complete glimpses into the future ever created.
I don’t want to drone on too much, but this game already looks like a stunning achievement for the ages and something tells me I will be spending a lot of time in “Night City” with a customized avatar very soon.
