Before we start this, I need to confess something. We’ve posted some articles that knock the Mission: Impossible series. Full stop. And why not? This is the 5th film in the franchise that is, for all intents and purposes, probably going to give us more of the same.
But as this video proves the devil is in the details. One thing that I forgot (or overlooked) about the Mission: Impossible series is that a whole series of expert auteurs has tackled the series with some amazing results. Sean Witzke takes a deep dive into all four films that have already come out and talks about each directors strengths, weakness, and how in the end it all goes back to Hitchcock.
