The IndieGoGo campaign ends March 4, 2015!

As far as we at Action A Go Go are concerned, BadAss.Inc is an equal opportunity employer. And it seems actress/producer Melanie Wise agrees.

Melanie is stumping for The Women In Action Festival, a crowd-funded event dedicated to…well, women in the action genre. In the following video, Melanie outlines her mission statement and what the festival is planning to showcase.

It is no big secret that many websites have been dedicating article after article about the need for more female-driven entertainment. Here at Action A Go Go however, we truly to believe that action(s) speaks louder than words. The only way to let Hollywood know that their is an audience for female-driven genre fare is to vote with your dollars and with your butts in theater seats. What better way to prove that than by supporting and taking part in a film festival that will allow you to do just that?

You can find out more about The Artemis Women In Action Film Festival (which is already scheduled for April) by clicking on the Indie GoGo video below, visiting them at WomenKickAss.com, or  — if you’re really about women in action — checking out their submission page for films. And as always, do your research and crowd-fund responsibly.
