I’m at a bit of a loss with half of this week’s major trailers. I’m ashamed to admit that I still haven’t watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes, so the sequel’s trailer does jack-all for me. I heard it was good, I’m just at a place where if I don’t catch it first-run or on Netflix then I may never see it at all.

I’m a little less ashamed to admit that I didn’t see 2012’s 21 Jump Street. I hear it is “uproarious,” (at least, that’s what the movie posters tell me) but I’m kind of a tough sell when it comes to most comedies. Nothing worse than being stuck in a dark theater of unfunny for 2 hours.

Dom Hemingway, however, is definitely my speed. The type of twisted, f@cked-up, self-destructive dark comedy that I can easily get behind. I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated Jude Law more than I did in that 2 minutes and 15 seconds.

As for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar? I’m kind of a sucker for any film that romanticizes space travel. That trailer gave me the type of warm and fuzzies that I haven’t had since Warren Ellis’ Orbiter. Sign me up.

Wrong Cops? It’s absurd. We’ll see…
