One of the most iconic movie characters of all time is the Predator. It was designed by the legendary Stan Winston and first appeared in the classic Predator (1987), directed by John McTiernan and starting Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since then it has been featured in sequels and bad crossovers galore but at the end of the day this character has survived on sheer force of presence for decades. Think about that. The Predator doesn’t have a real name. Or back story. It only has minimal character development. It’s the ultimate hunter, and that’s it. It hasn’t needed anything else.
And in reality it’s just a tall dude in pounds and pounds of make up, latex, and plastic pieces. What follows is a feature that shows one of the actors behind the mask getting dressed up. It’s a behind the scenes look from the movie Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem, which was a terrible film, but whatever. It’s fascinating stuff.
Please enjoy!
