The Wilhelm Scream is a tradition carried throughout the years.

By Andrew Allen

This isn’t exactly a new video, but it’s still a goodie. If you’ve got a bit over twelve minutes on your hands and feel needy for a bit of cineducation, this one is for you. A fairly comprehensive montage of Hollywood’s use of the “Wilhelm Scream” in all it’s various forms all the way through the year 2011.

It gets a bit numbing after awhile, but it’s still a fairly interesting experience, and one that’ll point out little uses of the infamous sound effect in places you never even realized it was.

Take caution, this is a whole lot of Wilhelm. Not for the faint of heart.
