I’ve seen a lot of movies. But every time I watch another entry in the Tony Zhou series Every Frame A Painting I learn something new.

This time around Tony works his magic with Akira Kurosawa (Seven Samurai).  He uses example after example to show how the legendary director uses camera movement as well as the movement inside the frame to get to the core of his characters.

It’s fascinating and fun to watch. It even features snippets of interviews with a host of other directors that shower Kurosawa with understandable  praise.

If you are a budding filmmaker or just a movie junkie like myself, this is a great way to spend some time on a boring Thursday at work 🙂

Enjoy.
