This one is a bit of a curveball, as it’s not too often we see Jodie Foster in a knockout, kick-ass action movie, but hey, there is a first time for everything.
The movie features Foster as nurse Jean Thomas at an underground hospital for criminals on a particularly busy night. Dave Bautista co-stars sans green paint as the orderly, along with Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as an angry hit woman, Charlie Day (Pacific Rim 1 and 2) as a snarky arms dealer, and Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther) as the bank robber. Jeff Goldblum rounds things out as the big bad.
I don’t want to like this movie for some reason, but the more I see, the more it wins me over.
Anyway, enjoy, and don’t be afraid to give this movie a chance when it hits theatres June 8th!
