The future is supposed to be a bright, happy place right? We’re talking about convenience, bright lights, shiny metal things that are meant to help and coddle us.

But Aaron Beck’s art concepts and projects? They take all that hope and smash it to pieces.

He’s an artist based in New Zealand who has worked on various films, most recently Elysium (2013) starring Matt Damon and directed by Neill Blomkamp.

All kidding aside, his work is crisp, angular, and features some amazing details. His concepts for a video game in development called World War Machine are something else though. And by something else I mean terrifyingly awesome stuff.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the work of Aaron Beck!
