In an amusing turn of events, a Change.org petition was recently started to remove Breaking Bad figures from Toys ‘R Us stores. The organizer is a Floridian mother by the name of Susan Meyer. According to her, the inclusion of Walter White on store shelves is a “deviation from their family friendly values.” She does concede, however, that the show is pretty dang good:
“While the show may be compelling viewing for adults, its violent content and celebration of the drug trade make this collection unsuitable to be sold alongside Barbie dolls and Disney characters.” -Susan Meyers
From there, it only took a few hours for the show’s main actor, Bryan Cranston, to defend himself via Twitter:
“Florida mom petitions against Toys ‘R Us over Breaking Bad action figures.” I’m so mad, I’m burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest

That said, Susan may have already had the last laugh. A quick search on the Toys ‘R Us site shows no results for Walter White and his meth accessory. Better start looking to eBay, kids.
