One of my biggest gripes with Skyfall, the last Bond film, was that it totally skipped over a dangling plot thread from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. The thread I’m referring to is that of Mr. White (played by Jesper Christensen). Last we saw him, he had escaped from custody and remained at large, leaving the blackmailing of Vesper Lynd and the identity of the organization behind said blackmailing only somewhat resolved.
Well, based on today’s Bond announcement, we may very well get some closure on the matter…
The 24th James Bond 007 film is called… #SPECTRE https://t.co/g8CCxtk5ga

I’m actually rather excited about this news. I’m one of the few folks who didn’t see Quantum of Solace as a complete and total abomination. If anything, it was the middle movie in the continuation of James Bond’s “year one.” Skyfall opted to to celebrate Bond’s 50 year anniversary instead of following through on this concept. Now however, it looks like 007 may be able to finally punch White’s ticket for good.
Spectre, the 24th Bond film, hits theaters in late 2015 . It stars Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista, and Daniel Craig (of course).
