DWTD updates a John Carpenter classic.
By Troy-Jeffrey Allen
It’s been nearly 40 years since John Carpenter’s controversial Assault On Precinct 13 hit theaters, gaining a cult following that cemented its status as one of the greatest exploitation flicks of all-time.
Jump forward to 2015 and that cult following is still very much alive and kicking. In particular, Dance With The Dead, an EDM duo from Orange County, have revived the 1976 action-thriller by remixing the film’s soundtrack.
Like most John Carpenter movies, Assault On Precinct 13 was not only edited and written by the director but also scored by him as well. Dance With The Dead (or just DWTD for short) has taken Carpenter’s late-70s synthesizer theme and electro-shocked it for your listening pleasure. You can hear it for yourself below.
