Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated for Best Actor for his role in The Revenant (2015). So far, this is his fifth nomination in that category in the past 23 years. He was previously nominated for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), The Aviator (2005), Blood Diamond (2007), and The Wolf of Wall Street (2014). His record of Oscar snubs in two-plus decades mirrors that of Al Pacino, who was nominated seven times in the best actor/best supporting actor categories before the Academy finally decided to give him a statue for Scent of a Woman (1993).

Someone created an online game called “Leo’s Red Carpet Rampage” so that, in lieu of the reality, Leo could win an Academy Award in a video game universe. There are three levels to the game. The first levels you navigating Leo across the red carpet, encountering paparazzi and Lady Gaga along the way. The last level is a race, where you have to direct Leo to stay ahead of the other actors in the run for this year’s best actor category. One of them included in the game is Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs. Lastly each level ends with a bonus challenge. Among those offered are “write your own acceptance speech”; “crawl to the car after too many quaaludes”; or “spot the Black nominee”. This is all done in the spirit of satirizing his snubs, check out the video below.
