Well, “king” might be stretching it a bit much. I mean, when it comes to supercars, there is always a new challenger trying to take top speed honors or push acceleration times further. But nobody does it quite like Bugatti, and with their new Chiron they are looking to solidify their stake as the performance king.
The Chiron is the new car replacing the Veyron, Bugatti’s last 1,000+ horsepower car that was the top speed holder for a generation. The Chiron bests it with 1479hp, 1179lb ft. of torque. Also, the acceleration #’s are mind melting. 0-62 goes by in 2.5 seconds, 0-124mph goes by in 6.5s, and 0-186mph goes by in 13.6s. Also, the all mighty top speed is 261mph.
In case you are counting, all of those #’s are INSANE. I love it.
