MY TAKE: Giorello’s art is reminiscent of Salvador Larroca’s work with digital colorist LIQUID! Ana, the titular War Mother, is also known as the Queen of Scavs. From the preview pages offered, she appears as the lone heroine of her post-apocalyptic corner of the world, loved and depended on by all to return salvaged materials. With her sentient weapons and ability to handle herself quite well, she’s this universe’s equivalent of Mad Max.
