Michael Bay divides audiences with his movies. Although I’m a major fan, a lot of others seem intent on denying his spectacular talent and massive power at the box office. But one thing nobody can deny, he puts his all into everything he does and delivers the biggest and most badass images we’ll ever seen on the cinema screen. So what happens when the power of Bay is teamed up with the power of one of the world’s greatest rock bands?… Magic!

For a long time, the Finnish classical rock band Nightwish have been blowing the minds of their fans with their electrifying music and their love of powerful and expensive rock concerts. So taking one of their biggest songs and setting it to two movies from the biggest action movie filmmaker could only ever be epic. Many years ago, a fan-made tribute of Bay’s wonderful and horribly underrated ‘Pearl Harbor’ had its central sequence, the attack on Pearl Harbor, paired with it the Nightwish classic ‘Wishmaster’, and a YouTube megahit was born. Since then the video has been downloaded and re-uploaded several times in its nine years online, and has always gained great numbers and respect as one of the first fan-made music tributes to a movie. Here is that classic video…

Sometime later, the same song was used to create a tribute to a later awesome Michael Bay blockbuster hit, ‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’. While not as popular in views as the previous fan video, this new take proved to be almost just as effective. Combining the imagary of a Transformers movie with the music of Nightwish is a masterstroke that only a fan could think of. Here is that said video…

There are countless fan-made tributes to the movies of Michael Bay online, many using the music of Nightwish, and hundreds of other bands and singers. But it’s these two tributes that remain, in my opinion, the most impressive you’ll find around the internet. Two spectacular blockbusters from the greatest action filmmaker, with the backing of one of the world’s most epic rock bands, can only be incredible. Enjoy these videos!
