If you are into toys (at some point we all are, right?) then TOY FAIR is the convention for you. It is an annual trade show held by the Toy Industry Association and brings the who’s who of statues and action figures out to play.
Also, it’s a great place to get movie spoilers. How? Well, toy companies need designs and specs of characters in order to make action figures for movie tie-ins. That means as soon as Zack Snyder says “cut” on Batman vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice the character designs are sent out to the likes of Mattel, Hasbro, etc. so they can get busy sculpting the heroes and villains of your favorite upcoming blockbusters and AAA games. This year we had the opportunity to get someone on the floor to snap some pics of what is coming down the road. And, man…toys have gotten way cooler since I was a kid.
Needless to say, some of these designs are not final and aren’t available to purchase just yet. For that reason, we’ve provided purchase links to each toymaker’s site to accompany the following photos. However, it’ll be up to you to keep track of street dates and pre-orders. Happy hunting!
