Joel Schumacher isn’t a bad director. I know people love to rag on him because of BATMAN & ROBIN, but his filmography was largely pristine up until then.
With that, his 1990 film FLATLINERS, is still a very unique and interesting approach to the horror genre. This 2017 remake from Niels Arden Oplev (the original THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO) is looking pretty loyal, appropriately tense, and pretty slick to boot.
